On 12th September, Petra and Tristan visited Kaurilands Primary school to teach pupils from Years 4 and 5 about how optical physics can be used study elements and stars.

Pupils were excited to learn about the origin of light, and enjoyed the demonstration of optical apparatus such as lasers, lenses, mirrors, and spectral lamps.

The school was greatly appreciative of this outreach, and Petra is hoping to do more later in the year at other schools around Auckland.
